The other day I saw man bargaining with my neighbor to buy a salvage car. I thought to myself, “Why on earth would anyone want to buy this piece of junk!” The thing was once upon a time a ‘car’. But today, as it lay in a bed of grass with plants growing out of its bonnet and cats living inside it, it was one with salvage cars. There could be absolutely no reason why anyone would want to buy this. Later, I met the gentleman who was bargaining to buy the salvage car and I asked him why he wanted to buy that piece of metal. He looked at me rather quizzically and said that salvage cars for sale were all the rage these days! This got me further into the mystery. When he saw my shocked look he smiled at me and replied rather calmly that people always bought salvage cars because that way they could begin to rebuilt it. It was a hobby!
